Dancer Valentino Kabenge, renowned for his Latin ballroom expertise, recently unveiled the inaugural Uganda Dance Nights at Kampala Serena Hotel. The event is scheduled for March 22, 2025, in the hotel's Victoria Hall.
During the press launch, Kabenge captivated attendees with a live demonstration of Latin dance moves, offering a glimpse of the performances to come. He announced that the event will feature internationally acclaimed dancers Oti Mabuse, a two-time Strictly Come Dancing champion, and her husband, Marius Lepure, a distinguished Latin dance coach and former professional on Germany's Let's Dance.
Kabenge emphasized that Uganda Dance Nights aims to celebrate unity and artistry, highlighting the universal language of dance that transcends borders. Zena Bernacca, Director of ValRich Arts, the organizing body, added that the event seeks to nurture talent and provide a global platform for Ugandan art. She noted the African roots of Latin ballroom music, expressing enthusiasm for audiences to recognize and appreciate this cultural connection during the show.V
